A Tesla assembly line worker, DeWitt Lambert, has sued the car maker for racial harassment and discrimination. Lambert, who worked at Tesla’s California-based manufacturing plant alleges that he was the victim of “racial slurs and lewd behavior” for more than a year.
Michael Jefferson, a former employee of California-based United Furniture Industries, has filed a race harassment and discrimination lawsuit against the furniture manufacturer. Jefferson, an African American man, claims to have found a doll that allegedly made him look like he was hanging from a noose.
Filed in San Bernardino County Superior Court last week, the lawsuit states that Michael Jefferson endured race harassment while working for the United Furniture Industries factory near Southern California Logistics Airport. Jefferson alleges that he was the sole black person working in his division and that the majority of his co-workers were Hispanic.
