Dee Nguyen joined the firm in January 2016 as an associate attorney. She received her J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law in 2015 and was admitted to practice law that same year. She received her B.A. from UC Berkeley in 2010 on a full-tuition academic scholarship.
While in law school, Dee interned for Advancing Justice—Asian Law Caucus’ Workers’ Rights Project. In recognition of her work, the Asian American Bar Association awarded Dee its Law Student Summer Grant in 2015.
Dee is deeply committed to fighting injustice and protecting workers’ rights. Dee represents employees in disputes in a variety of areas, including: disability discrimination, sexual orientation discrimination, discrimination based on race, whistleblower retaliation, and failure to accommodate disabilities.
Dee strongly believes in giving back to the community. She volunteered for the Legal Advice and Referral Clinic and the San Francisco APILO/AABA clinic for which she earned Pro Bono Society Recognition from UC Hastings.
In addition, Dee externed at the federal district court for the Honorable Laurel Beeler and interned in state court for the Honorable Garrett L. Wong.
After law school, Dee worked as a Bridge Fellow at the Oakland City Attorney’s Office for its Litigation Division.
